FRP bridge Construction is the main focus of BGL. We have uniquely strong references for FRP bridge design and construction in Germany. Whether it is a simple pedestrian bridge or or a bicycle bridge, we have the complete FRP solution for you. Our product palette also includes transportable bridges. We only use FRP profiles with general approval by the German Institute for Structural Engineering, Berlin (abZ DIBT) in our bridges.
READY TO GO DESIGNS
We develop designs that are ready to use but we can also build to customer-specific requirements. For example we can renovate existing wooden and steel bridges such that they aree identical – but extremely durable and long-lasting. Hybrid constructions that combine FRP with steel, wood or concrete are also possible. However, our factory delivers products made from 100% FRP, except for the stainless steel fittings. We support you from the planning stage through production to final assembly. And all of our FRP bridges carry a 10 years factory warranty.
SUPPORT STRUCTURES
Our FRP support structures are increasingly replacing traditional wooden and metal bridges because we are not only maintenance-free and environmentally-friendly but also have an extremely long service life. In our designs of GRP we expect minimum service lives of 50 years and longer. Within the framework of the replacement of wooden structures, we deliver our FRP bridges of high-quality coating at the customer’s request, whereby the client can freely choose the shade according to the RAL Institute table. An FRP bridge in mahogany brown or deer brown blends harmoniously into the landscape, especially in wooded areas or parks. In addition, we supply various FRP railings, from the horizontal toe railings and filling bar variants for anything from pedestrian bridge construction to heavy load railing.
ADVANTAGES
An enormous advantage of FRP is that constructions and bridge structures can be inserted manually by hand, which simplifies installation considerably in areas that are difficult to access. The bridges are completely prefabricated in our factory, then disassembled and simply reassembled on the construction site. Here, the material advantage of the low dead weight is fully and extremely effective. We have a wide variety of equipment options, from narrow mesh micromade grids, closed decking grids, Hacon 280 planks, or chamber profile decks – all components made exclusively from FRP. Basically, all surfaces are treated as slip-resistant and, as a rule, according to the highest standards of professional associations and accident insurers.
